Clinician/Clinical Lead (Associate Director/Director) - Psychiatry/Neurology Location: Groton, Connecticut
Job Duties: The Clinician/Clinical Lead will work in a matrix team of clinical colleagues (other clinicians, statisticians and clinical pharmacologists) creating clinical development plans, designing and interpreting clinical trials and providing medical support during clinical trial conduct for one or more neuroscience drug development program(s). Depending upon the experience of the candidate and the level of drug program complexity, he/she may lead one or more clinical trials and support the creation of clinical development plans or may also lead (as Clinical Lead) the clinical sub-team of a drug program.
The clinician position will report to a more senior clinician within the clinical line. When serving in the role of Clinical Lead, he/she would also report to the Team Leader for the drug program. The successful candidate will need to be able to work across the entire development continuum, from providing clinical input to neuroscience research, to providing leadership for clinical trial and program design in early and late phase clinical development.
Qualifications: EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND: M.D. and board-certified in psychiatry or neurology.
WORK EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: MINIMUM: Completion of medical and specialty training.

Associate Director Clinical Research Psychiatry Position Location: Titusville, NJ

Johnson and Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development, L.L.C., a member of Johnson and Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for an Associate Director, Research Physician (Psychiatry), located in Titusville, NJ. Janssen, L.P. is focused on mental health and markets prescription medications that treat schizophrenia and bipolar mania. Leading products include RISPERDAL® (risperidone) and RISPERDAL® CONSTA® (risperidone) long-acting injection. The Research Physician will contribute to the development of research proposals for the Janssen Pharmaceutica Inc (JPI) annual business plan. This individual will be responsible for the design, execution and medical monitoring of clinical research studies. This individual will provide medical input to the various medical affairs teams. This individual will identify clinical needs and will manage post-hoc analyses to address these needs. This individual will be in charge of creating and executing publication and communication plans for the clinical studies and analyses. This individual will report to the Long-Acting Injectable Formulation Leader. The Research Physician supports the line function in the development of research proposals and contributes to business plans across line functions in medical affairs. This individual will be able to work across multiple programs and products, and skillfully integrate a wide range of medical expertise in innovative ways to improve business results. Further, this individual will give input on new scientific and business opportunities including participation in the NPD (New product development) process and the evaluation of new licensing opportunities of oral formulations.
Qualifications:
This position requires an MD or a DO. A Board certified or Board eligible physician in psychiatry is strongly preferred. A minimum of 3 years experience working in clinical practice, clinical research, or in the pharmaceutical industry is required. Clinical research experience in Psychiatry is strongly preferred, as well as experience identifying new areas of research. In addition, experience reviewing and providing input on new scientific and business opportunities, experience writing research proposals and experience with the design, execution and medical monitoring of clinical research studies is preferred. Excellent written and oral presentation skills are required. Cross-functional or Multidisciplinary team experience is required. The ability to travel up to 25% domestic/international is required.

position requires a background in neurology with an interest or focus on
the treatment of pain and/or cognitive disorders. The company(ies) is located
in the Northeast (NJ/DE/CT). This physician will join the Neurosciences
Clinical Research Group of this company, which is growing. Under the direction
of a senior physician, he/she will work with several new drug candidates.
A strong clinical and scientific background is highly desirable, as this
physician will be expected to exercise ingenuity and originality in the application
of scientific principles to the clinical investigation of new therapeutic
agents. This will involve the implementation of clinical studies in Phase
II/III and IV to test the efficacy of various neurological compounds. The
company has a number of compounds in its CNS drug pipeline. Drug candidates
